Choosing The Challenge
Forgive me if my thoughts are muddled.
After reading the recent reports about the Special Agriculture Lease & Business Lease fiasco in Pomio where actual female landowners had their signatores forged on the lease documents, I decided that as an individual I need to make a stronger contribution to this country.
I cant believe that Papua New Guineans are getting conned out of their land and forests while the so called investors make millions in this country of these very resources.
If they can make all this money in PNG, yet at the same time, leave behind no tangible benefit, we must ask ourselves, is our remarkable civilisation going backwards that
1. We cant see the value in these resources, and
2. We lack the courage to develop these resources ourselves.
3. How can the government turn a blind eye to this?
I understand why the Bougainvilleans at Panguna fought for their land. I will understand if the people of West Pomio also fight for their land. I might join them.
Today , i decided to minimise my contribution to the RH empire. I had my last donut at Donut King in their giant mall and bought my last national newspaper to read.
We need modern Melanesia to assert itself, instead of being swamped by these superimposed cultures that do not respect our traditional rights and the rights of female landowners.
Inline with pragmatic arnachism, I will lift my standards in the projects.
