Port Moresby: Young Papua New Guinea Mayambo Peipul is the new President of the Moresby Arts Theatre.

This is the first time a Papua New Guinea has been elected to the position.

Ms Peipul hopes more Papua New Guinean’s will be part of the theatre as actors, assistants, stage hands and as audience members.

The Port Moresby Arts Theatre has expanded its creative role in the city by hosting monthly craft markets, flower shows and opening the venue for other artists such as painters, musicians, dancers and writers to showcase their work
