Have We Done Enough, Or Are We Just Cowards?
When we set out to do www.pngcars.com, we did it to show that anyone with limited knowledge could create a website that can earn money in PNG.
When we quit our jobs, we did it so we could try out other things and break from the monotony of petty office politics and small ideas that are dressed up and celebrated like big ideas.
When we took a cheap camera and wrote a small proposal to PNG TPA, we just wanted to encourage people especially Papua New Guineans, too stop making excuses and travel around PNG, no matter what.
When we shared all our photos and posts and videos, destroyed 4 camera’s, clogged one PC, ruined two hard disks, got stranded, got involved in ‘turf’ arguments and all kinds of things the process, we wanted to encourage people to travel and tell stories with complete strangers and experience this wild country that God formed their souls in.
We asked people to share their photos cause your photos of PNG are images of God’s creations….they should be shared and shared freely, for the good of all.
Have we done enough in the last few years?
Maybe. More and more people are coming online and we encourage people and share ideas and point them to resources.
We even provide free tutorials for those who are really interested.
More and more photos of PNG are being shared online enmass and we hope in some way we have helped.
We have shown that linkages using social media are built slowly until critical mass is achieved and then you need to get out your creative tool box and light up the dark.
But have we done enough? Or are we just cowards?
This questions is screwing me up. I want more Papua New Guineans online, and in business and doing more amazing things and really going for it.
So we are working on four projects that we hope can really light the dark.
One is the Start and Improve Your Business Project for SIYB PNG.
Alistair Dark of http://alidark.com/services/, a quiet vegan revolutionary gave us a great head start with the design and now we plan to power on.
The other is the Million Different Journeys Project for PNG TPA.
The last two are still being developed.
One is a way for anyone to earn money online in PNG, the other i cant say much but i hope when its finished that it can really settle the question…Have We Done Enough?
If it does, i will become a house husband, never go online again and get really fat.
